This awesome family gets their photos done every year, and I would expect nothing less because the gorgeous mom of the session is Holly Ireland of Holly Ireland Photography! I love her and her work and I am honored to do their photos this year for holiday cards and Christmas photo gifts and just to document this beautiful moment in time. These beautiful little girls are growing up fast and even next year they will have changed so much. Kids are amazing!
Location:
Batiquitos Lagoon in Carlsbad, California. This is one of my absolute favorite locations for family photo sessions and also for runs and dog walks when I get a chance! It is such a gorgeous spot in both the morning and the evening!
Vision & style:
Holly and her family always look amazing in blue and I don’t blame them for picking that color, look at their gorgeous eyes! I also love that they picked a few patterns to give the composition some interest. Laying out the outfit all together before a photo shoot and looking at it as one outfit is the key. Look how well the large and small prints work together. Combining outfits and prints takes some skill!
Favorite moment:
My favorite moment was when the family arrived with their beloved dog, Chloe! I am a huge fan of including your family pet in the photo shoot. Chloe is a true part of their family and she’s getting a little bit older these days…these photos will be treasured forever!
Special note: they decided not to bring their bearded dragon Lizzy… LOL
