Q&A with Christine Foerster Health Coaching
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is collaborating with creative, passionate individuals to bring their vision to life. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to work with Christine Foerster, an Integrative Nutrition and Health Coach with an impressive background as a performance artist, art educator, and yoga instructor. Christine’s holistic and creative approach to wellness is truly inspiring—she believes in transforming the mundane into the luminescent, whether through mindful health habits, spiritual practices, or embracing the wisdom of the human body. Our brainstorming session for her personal branding shoot was full of energy and ideas, and Christine’s creativity made the entire process a joy. Together, we crafted a collection of images that authentically reflect her unique story and mission.
Q: Please explain what you do using your name, your experience or background, the name of your business, and anything else you’d like people to know as they are introduced to who you are.
A: “I’m Christine Foerster, an Integrative Nutrition and Health Coach. I have worked as a performance artist and art educator for more than fifteen years and more recently as a yoga instructor. These holistic, creative practices have taught me that we can transform the mundane into the luminescent. There is equal potential in the human body. Eating a nutrient-dense diet, prioritizing sleep, getting consistent movement, and incorporating meaningful spiritual practices are the foundation to cultivating and creating our best lives. I’m committed to helping my clients create sustainable health habits that make sense to them so that they feel their best.”

Q: What does your company do? What makes your service or product unique or notable?
A: “My coaching is based on one foundational idea: our bodies are innately wise. This wisdom is the source of an astounding potential but much of contemporary life blocks this understanding within us. The way back is a true connection to ourselves through thoughtful health habits, mindfulness practices, and a clearing of the external clutter. My coaching is designed to help my clients build these foundational health practices and shift their mindset to release old patterns of thinking so that they can create their life with purpose, based on loving and meaningful relationships. In my coaching, I use resources from my experience as a performance artist and yoga instructor, the latest research on human health, the abundant literature on mindfulness practices, but, above all, a holistic approach that is precisely tailored to each client individually.”
Q: What inspired you to create your business? Is there anything about the clients you serve that you were drawn to, or is there anything about the impact that you’d like to have that you’d like to share?
A: “I have witnessed many family members and friends suffer from chronic illness and imbalances in the body such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, digestive issues, brain fog, fatigue, joint pain, and anxiety, just to name a few. These chronic illnesses are not usually addressed at the root level by our medical system. Using a holistic and integrative approach to health, I help my clients reshape their lives through simple daily habits to bring the body back into balance. This is something that can rarely be done alone. That is why I also believe in mindset coaching. The simple act of setting the space, creating awareness, and then asking careful questions can completely change the course of someone’s life.”
Q: Are there books that you’d recommend to people in your niche or books that you just generally love?
A: “I love to read and I am always reading several books at once. Four that are particularly relevant for this discussion are:
- The Omnivore’s Dilemma” by Michael Pollan
- “Good Energy” by Casey Means
- “The Untethered Soul” by Michael A. Singer
- “The Myth of Normal” by Gabor Maté
Q: Are there any resources or assets (things like software or courses) that have really helped you uplevel your business?
A: “Yoga has fundamentally changed my life. I adore my studio Peace, Love and Yoga where I practice and teach. Yoga reminds me that conscious breath is my greatest tool for life. Yoga is also a daily practice of awareness. You can’t know what you want or where you want to go without first acknowledging where you are. Yoga helps us to drop into the entire body rather than living predominantly in the head. It allows us to trust the power of our gut intuition and the expansive wisdom of our heart.”
Q: What would you say is the main thing that has helped you to grow in your business. This could be a personality trait, an event, a mindset, etc.
A: “Growing a business is like working on a giant jigsaw puzzle in which you don’t know all of the pieces yet but through curiosity and learning, you figure out what they are and where they go. My training and work as an artist has been immensely helpful. Art asks you to see the world through a different lens and then take a huge risk of time and energy to turn that vision into something that you share with the world. In my street performances, I had to continually let go of fear and the unknown because a performance is always greatly influenced by the people who share the public space with you.”
Q: What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
A: “This isn’t exactly business advice and I don’t know if someone has already said this but it would be some form of ‘chase those wild dreams before they have a chance to haunt you.’”
Q: What is your favorite mantra?
A: “Our bodies are infinitely wise and know how to heal as long as we support them.”
Q: What was your absolute biggest challenge prior to doing a personal brand shoot?
A: “As a performance artist, I created wildly weird costumes based on the concept of arthropods. I had outer layers that I could shed and then build small shelters. My photoshoots and performances were never about me looking good but rather bringing my character to life and engaging with the public. For this photoshoot, I had to get comfortable with just being me in front of the camera.”
Q: What changed after getting your images?
A: “It may sound silly but spending some time doing your hair and makeup can make such a difference. I feel that Heather helped me to bring my professional side forward in an authentic way. She made me feel completely at ease and relaxed.”
Q: What specific results can you share?
A: “Heather knows the craft of photography and she is a skilled professional. She takes the time to work through concepts in advance so that she knows what she’s looking for. Heather is meticulous when composing shots whether that involves setting up lighting and props in a specific location or working effectively while moving through dynamic public locations.”
Q: What would you say to somebody on the fence about booking a shoot?
A: “Get off the fence and book the shoot! I just finished designing my website and I don’t know how I would have put it together without Heather’s beautiful work!”
Q: Anything else to add?
A: “I had so many ideas, locations, concepts, and shots in mind. Heather really listened to me and met my vision with her craft and extreme care to details. We curated our work session together and I couldn’t be happier with the results. In the end, like in my coaching practice, you need the support and guidance of a professional to get the results you want.”
