One day you`ll blink and this tiny baby won`t fit in your hands anymore. That`s usually when parents tell me they wish they had taken more photos. One of the things I love about black-and-white portraits is how little they let you hide behind.
No color. No distractions. No trendy outfits that will look dated in ten years.
Just a family being a family.
These boys spent most of the session climbing on Dad, making each other laugh, and testing the limits of everyone`s patience in the way little boys are uniquely qualified to do.
The result wasn`t perfection.
It was recognition.
When this family looks back at these portraits years from now, I don`t think they`ll be focused on what anyone was wearing. They`ll remember who their boys were at this age.
