I love the clean look of this modern and minimalist Beach family photo session. The simplicity of the beach on a cloudy day is so beautiful and soft, especially for skin tones, and for shading baby’s sensitive eyes. I typically do newborn sessions within the first 5 to 15 days of life, but it’s not always that way. I think we can still do a beautiful newborn session even around one month old, which was where this baby was at during our session. I also usually do newborn sessions in the home when they are so little, but once they get a little bigger it’s fun to take them outside. I think this might have been baby’s first trip to the beach and it’s so beautiful to document that. I love this beach in Carlsbad for family portraits, it’s always so quiet and uncrowded which is rare in Southern California! Here are a few of my favorite images from the sweet family, I can’t wait to work with them again on a family session and watch this little guy grow!
