I have always been drawn to the landscape of Central California. The golden rolling hills dotted with single sprawling oaks are so romantic and peaceful. When I was asked to shoot Domonique and Aaron’s wedding, I couldn’t have been more excited for the chance to photograph this beautiful couple in such a gorgeous location. The wedding was at The V6 Ranch in Parkfield, California. Really the perfect getaway for a country destination wedding. All of the guests were family and lifelong friends and most of them camped just outside of the small town- Parkfield is probably about a quarter mile long! This wedding was extra special for me also because I grew up with most of the people in attendance in Oceanside, California. It’s really a unique little beach community with great people who all remain very close. Aaron and Domonique have so many wonderful friends and family members, it was very touching to see them surrounded by such love! I had quite a hard time editing this wedding because there were so many amazing photos and I wanted them all to be perfect. This wedding was an unforgettable event in a perfect location. When I woke to drive home the following morning the air was crisp and cool with the sounds of cows mooing, their bells jingling, birds singing, and crickets and insects chirping, all floating on the wind.
