Jaclyn and Matthew began their wedding day with getting ready at historic and elegant The Rancho Bernardo Inn, followed by a private ceremony at Ethereal Open Air Resort.
Jackie and Matt met over Memorial Day weekend at the Hard Rock in Tahoe. It was Jackie’s birthday weekend & she was in Tahoe with friends while Matt was at a Bachelor Party. The girls ended up at the Hard Rock and Jackie was introduced to Matt. They’ve been together ever since!
Ethereal Open Air Resort, now becoming known as California Botanical Gardens, is a gorgeous, rustic, romantic, and natural setting for a Southern California wedding, especially a destination wedding! Set on 40 acres of edible gardens, surrounded by old growth orchards and 100 acres of organic herb and vegetable farms, the property has so much to offer and makes for a magical location for the wedding day. Jackie and Matt wanted an outdoor venue with a chapel, Matt’s Dad is a retired minister and he married them!! So sweet. When they went to do a tour of the venue and saw that it had a Chapel onsite + found out that it used to be a Catholic retreat…. it was just perfect!
Thank you so much Jackie and Matt for having me by your side on your magical wedding day. I loved all the special touches you chose and I will always be so grateful that you chose me to document your amazing love story. I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Costa Rica!! xo, Heather
