Suzanne and Russell’s wedding at Orfila Vineyards in Escondido was one of those days when everything just went perfectly. The timing was all right, location was beautiful, weather was warm but not hot, and we had plenty of time to do all the photos we wanted to before getting to the reception. Sound like a photographer’s fairy tale? Well, it pretty much was;) I loved working with these two and also loved their friends…. the toasts were definitely in the top few for great/funny/tasteful toasts…. and that is saying something! As a portrait photographer, my goal is to create images that capture the person I’m photographing as they truly are in this moment in life. ⁠

As a mother, I want to look back at photos of my children and remember them as they’re authentic little selves.⁠

The gift of toddlers is that they ONLY exist in “the real”. They haven’t learned to pose yet. They don’t have a rehearsed “picture face”. You will never get a fake smile from a two or three year old! ⁠

And that is why I LOVE working with them so much!⁠
