My Carlsbad Village studio offers a relaxed, private setting for portrait sessions throughout every stage of life, from maternity and newborn to classic family portraits. With clean white walls, beautiful natural light, and simple neutral backdrops, the space allows me to create portraits that feel modern and refined without distracting from the people and relationships in them.
The studio gives us the freedom to slow down, create intentionally, and photograph a variety of looks in one comfortable space โ without worrying about weather, wind, crowds, or changing light.
Families in the Studio
Studio family portraits are simple, connected, and completely focused on your family. Without the distractions of a location, we can create everything from beautiful full-family portraits to playful interactions, siblings, parent-and-child photographs, and the little relationships in between.
Maternity & Baby Portraits
The studio is especially beautiful for maternity and baby portraits, where simplicity allows shape, connection, and expression to take center stage. Sessions can feel soft and natural, modern and minimal, or a little more editorial depending on what feels most like you.
Newborn Portraits
My studio newborn sessions are relaxed, baby-led, and centered on connection rather than props or elaborate posing. The result is a collection of natural, timeless photographs of your baby and your family during one of lifeโs fastest-changing seasons.
Yes, Dogs Are Welcome Too
Some of my favorite studio portraits have four legs. Dogs and other beloved pets are absolutely welcome to be part of your session, whether theyโre joining the entire family or getting a portrait of their own.

Where is your Carlsbad portrait studio located?
Weโre right in the heart of Carlsbad Village, just around the corner from Pizza Port on Carlsbad Village Drive. The studio is a private, comfortable, light-filled space designed to make portrait sessions feel relaxed and easy while giving us a beautiful setting to create modern, timeless photographs. The studio is located at 3138 Roosevelt Street, Suite M, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
What types of portrait sessions do you offer in the studio?
We offer family, maternity, newborn, baby milestone, headshot, personal branding, and pet photography in the studio. The clean, light and bright space gives us a beautiful modern backdrop while keeping the focus on the people being photographed. Each session is planned individually, so we can create a look that feels right for you while still maintaining the simple, timeless style of the studio.
Are studio and outdoor portrait sessions priced differently?
Your portrait pricing is the same whether you choose a studio session or an outdoor location, so you can choose the setting based on the look you love rather than the price. During the planning process, weโll talk through the options and decide which setting makes the most sense for the portraits you want to create.
Do you offer in-home newborn photography?
Newborn sessions are offered exclusively in the Carlsbad studio. The studio is already prepared with beautiful lighting, a comfortable environment, and everything we need to create simple, natural newborn portraits. It also means thereโs no need to clean your home, rearrange furniture, worry about the available light, or prepare a space for photography while youโre adjusting to life with a new baby. You can simply arrive with your baby and family and let me take care of the rest.
Can we include our dog in our studio portrait session?
Absolutely. I love dogs and am always happy to include them in your portraits! I just ask that you bring someone who can help with your dog so they can join us for their portion of the session and then head out or be taken care of while we continue photographing the rest of the family.
What should we wear for studio portraits?
I always suggest keeping clothing simple and timeless for studio portraits. I especially love whites, creams, grays, and other soft neutrals because they photograph beautifully in the clean studio space and keep the attention on you and your family. Weโll plan clothing together before the session, so you donโt have to figure it all out on your own.
Do you use natural light or studio lighting?
The studio has beautiful natural light, and I also have professional studio lighting that allows me to create a clean, polished look in any lighting conditions. Having both available gives us a lot of flexibility and allows me to choose the lighting that will look best for the portraits weโre creating.
